WOVEN MANIFESTATIONS: ECOLOGICAL BELONGING AND FREEDOM
January 15th at 14:00
Adora Faye de Vera
Known for her survival as a political prisoner during Martial Law and wrongfully detained earlier this year, Adora will focus on an aspect of wellbeing that has sustained her- her art and embroidery. She will share the role of the "hablon," a traditional textile, within her experience in the prison industrial complex and how a literal "chainstitch" helped her and others regain some of their own autonomy and freedom.
